-every product needs finance and this comes through streams of revue.  These come with risk, unpredictability and return 

Things that affect the type of fence that can be used/attracted
-->size of organisation
-->commercial/government 

Crowdfunding:
is when a project is funded by a large number of people who contribute a relatively small amount which leads to a good income of money 

Advantages:
-its more efficient than traditional fundraising
-it doubles are marketing as media exposure-great for our production company 
-there is not a big loss for individuals if the project fais
-generally online-helps geographically 
-everyone is happy-crowd funders get a state in the project-they could end up getting more money than they gave in-if our short film does well-crowd funders could receive a lot of money 

Sponsorship:
money that is given, usually by a company to support a person, organisation or activity.  It can be the act of providing money for a product such as: a television, radio programme, a sports event 

Examples:
-tv shows may have a sponsor to have an ad in the break (love island gets money from just eat)
-films may have sponsor and this means that they can have product placement based on the sponsorships (waynesworld as it had Pepsi)

Types of revenue:

sponsorship:  payment for brand association with the final product 

crowdfunding:  funding from a wide variety of public sources usual social media promotion 

corporate finance:  money injected by businesses convinced the project is a good investment and will provide a good return over a lengthy period of time 

advertising:  payment for brand placement within a media product 

franchising:  the intellectual property of the original product is licensed to other partners for commercial use like merchandising in return for a fee or share of resulting revenue 

What is crowd funding:

-banks consider startups and ventures too risky, this is due to the economic downturn while banks are able to borrow cheap and lend expensive (credit cards)

-efficiency- done through the Internet om crowdfunding websites and sicial media 

-donation model- people can donate money in small amounts, you don't get any money back, round for years and years, they believe it has a money and ethical value that is good for the community (go fund me)

-pre oder model-people can make online pledge doing a campaign or pre buy the product for later deliver kickstarter (kickstarter)

-reward based model-where investors get the satisfaction of helping and immediately received a pre determined read or item of value (indie gogo)

-equity model-allows large number of regular people to invest small amounts funding early startups, with the expectation to receive dividends or investment appreciation

-crowdfunding has grown at the same rate as internet usage

This advert for age partnership appeals to the readers of the sun because it is also aiming the advert at the older generation who would also be reading this magazine.  The image which they used for the sponsorship is mainly for C1 working grade therefore middle and working class. 

The vogue business for the glamour magazine appeals to the readers of this magazine as this magazine focuses on mainly independent women therefore by the sponsorship mentioning vogue business It is aimed at 18-25 young independent women interested in fashion and business.  From a middle and working class.  This advert would also appeal to the readers of this magazine as they both are from the same target audience.
